The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways announced the fifth round of Invest in Cook grants.
Invest in Cook offers $8.5 million in funds to support transportation improvements sponsored by the local and regional government and private partners.
Previous rounds of Invest in Cook have funded several 14th District projects including the construction of an improved at-grade crossing at the intersection of Lake Cook Road and Wilke Road, which provides a continuous east-west connection between Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, and Palatine.
The call for projects closes on March 12, 2021, at 5:00 pm CST. An information session will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development to provide information on applying for Community Development Block Grants.
